A fond farewell to Brian after 40 years of drumming for GYB

On Sunday 4th October 2015 Great Yarmouth Brass held a special surprise event to mark the retirement of 83 year old percussionist Brian Pilgrim after over 40 years loyal service to the band.
Knowing that Brian’s other main hobby is trains, the band arranged for him and his wife Louise to travel with some other guests on the Bure Valley Railway. When the train steamed into Aylsham, present and former members of the band had assembled on the platform for a short Concert, which was followed by a cream tea in the Whistle Stop Cafe.
The band wish Brian a very happy retirement and would like to thank all those who came to help make the occasion so successful.
Please take a look at the Photos Page for some fond memories of the day.
